Hi Brinky, The torque evener is not supposed to control end float. Final end float is controlled by the drive shaft thrust washer. Say that you removed the cork seal #763008 and had 0.010″ total flywheel end-play with the… Read more»

Yes, we had the generator tested by the premier auto electric shop in town. They have worked on a lot of VW 6V Bosch generators; so, they should know what they are doing. A retired VW mechanic in my club… Read more»

Be careful of anything you make for a 841 – Sure you need it, sure others need it, but will anybody pay $$$ for the item? We made new 841 Transmission Gear sets for 841’s because we needed a set… Read more»

Not sure about 1946, but my ’48 Chief never had a tool box.
